Division Notes

I've been watching this over the past few weeks and as the season winds down, it could easily come to fruition. All 5 teams in the division are currently above .500 and 4 of the 5 are in playoff spots. The Blues are 3 points behind Nashville for the 8 spot. Now, for all 5 to make it, Edmonton would have to slip and the Blues would have to excel. Its weird to say but go Blues and Preds, as long as you're not playing us that is.

I just think its a really awesome possibility that the entire division makes the playoffs. It really shows people that say the Red Wings don't play in a tough division where they can put their words.

Dear Rest of the NHL,

I'm tired of hearing how the Central Division is a weak division. If its truly such a "weak" division, how does it have 3 of its teams in playoff spots and one within striking distance of the playoffs?
Simply put, its a division full of young talent and i think that's why its not getting the respect it deserves. As a Wings fan, I'm terrified about the upside that the Blackhawks have. Or the Blue Jackets' ability to win games that they shouldn't even be a thought for winning. That's whats scary about the division. Everyone knows about the Wings, but not that many people know and respect the talent in the rest of the division. I would not be surprised if any of the teams make it to the West Conference Finals.
